At these shops, eateries, and cafes, you’ll get a much more personalized experience and a higher level of customer service. These entrepreneurs are experts on the goods and services they provide, so you’re almost guaranteed a better product. Read on to discover some of the top small businesses in Cary.

Bond Brothers Beer Company

Bond Brothers Beer Company is known as Cary’s best brewery, and it’s located right in the heart of downtown. It is both a dog-friendly and kid-friendly place, so you’re more than welcome to bring the entire family. Bond Brothers’ bartenders are some of the nicest and most attentive in the city, according to customers. They pour mostly fruity and hoppy ales, both light and strong. For a summery treat, try the St. G, a farmhouse kettle sour with elderflower, coriander, and grapefruit peel. The brewery doesn’t sell any food, but it always has at least one local food truck sitting right outside the doors to supply fresh fare. Plus, the interior is beautiful, a mix of modern tile and vintage coastal-style lighting. Large garage doors open up to an enormous patio area with ample al fresco seating.

Crema Coffee Roaster and Bakery

Crema Coffee Roaster and Bakery offers gourmet coffees crafted from house-roasted beans. The staff actually roasts the beans in the same place baristas brew your java, so it smells amazing in the cafe. The baristas here are extremely professional and know how to make a fantastic cup of coffee, as well as some expertly crafted espresso drinks. Aside from the coffee, there’s also an in-house bakery serving some of the most beautiful cakes and pastries that you’ll ever see. They’re decorated in a modern and abstract style that defies any expectations. Just to look at them is worth a trip to Crema Coffee. Sit inside and smell the fresh baked goods and coffee, or head out to the shaded patio to take in some fresh air while you sip.

Great Harvest Bread Co.

Great Harvest Bread Co. is a chain bakery specializing in whole-grain breads and muffins, but you’d never guess it’s a chain based on the quality of the products. The bakers serve fresh bread and exciting treats that change every day of the week, which means you’ll have to stop by on a regular basis if you don’t want to miss anything. This place has a friendly, community atmosphere, and its staffers are happy to give out a sample of any of their breads before you commit to a single loaf. They also make enormous, gooey-good cinnamon rolls—these are definitely designed for sharing. The bakers’ newest invention is the Star Spangled swirl bread, which is a whole-grain loaf speckled with sweet blueberries, tart cherries, apples, and cranberries, and swirled with brown sugar and cinnamon.

These are just a few places where you can go to support local businesses in Cary. Be sure to get out there and find the other hidden gems in your neighborhood.
